Cranio-Sacral Reflexology explained

Cranio-Sacral Reflexology is a unique and specialized form of reflexology.  A gentle, yet powerful technique that is effective for releasing many types of pain, mental stress and trauma held in the body.

The Cranio-Sacral system is a physiological system within the body, working in conjunction with the other systems of the body. This particular form of reflexology optimizes the movement of the cerebral spinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.  Cranio-Sacral Reflexology also has effects on the fascial network of your body, helping to release strain and tension.

This unique form of reflexology is effective in treating trauma and stress related conditions by balancing the distribution of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the four ventricles of the brain.

Pressure applied to the specific points on the feet stimulates and re-harmonizes the Cranial Rhythm – Primary Respiratory Movement (PRM). The movement of CSF can be felt in the feet as a pulse, or a wave, which is quite distinct from the pulse of the heart.

A trained Cranio-Sacral Reflexologist can read and interpret the cranio-sacral  rhythm and appreciate its movement throughout the whole body. Cranio-Sacral Reflexologists are able to perceive dysfunction by palpating specific points found on the feet and on the cranium.

Cranio-Sacral Reflexology combines the use of pressure on specific areas of the foot, which relate to the 12 cranial nerves, and to the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord (CSF). The key ingredient in all sessions is balancing the three diaphragms and the autonomic nervous system by using specific protocols.
